November Guest Designer, Take 2

Yikes, I'm just squeaking in before the end of the current challenge (ends tomorrow!!!) with this fantastic card by Linda Snodgrass, our guest designer for the past two months.  I love her card, don't you?  So cheery and homey.  Linda framed the Avery Elle Pinecones stamp set with some yummy red plaid and added a decorate border at the bottom using Avery Elle Dotted Borders die.  Seriously love!

Thank you for guesting with us, Linda!  It's been wonderful!

Hello

Hello and Happy Cyber Monday!  It's Amy here and I'm sharing a quick clean + crisp card:

One of my favorite paper pads this fall is the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Fall.   The colors are so fabulous and a girl can never have enough plaid!  I teamed it up with the awesome Concord & 9th Tree Ring stamp.

I've been pretty smitten with metallics and love the look of that image embossed in copper, how about you?  Can you tell that the Tree Ring and the base panel are the same plaid?

I've been doing some organizing and found some tags, from my stash, that matched!

Thanks so much for stoppin' by and I hope you have a terrific week!

Sailors Delight

Have you heard the saying, "Pink at night, sailors delight.  Pink in the morning, sailors take warning." I wonder if there is truth to it.  So curious in fact that looked this up.... but  it was so complicated I didn't want to bore you with the details. :)  But if you are curious, check it out here

Anyway, that saying and the beautiful PNW are what inspired today's card.

This card features the Concord and 9th Written in the Stars as the main focal point of the island.  I stamped off the cloud so it would be sort of see through.  I used Distress Inks to create the background, specifically I put down some post it notes to create a crisp horizon line and used Broken China and Blueprint Sketch across the bottom, I then added Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry on the top, the overlap of them created the orange.  I colored the Ferry Boat from Memory Box using my Copics.  To create the internal lighting, I simply put a post it behind it and cut it to shape.   The scalloped oval frame popped out added a nice opportunity to add some waves around the bottom and in the frame.  These were also colored via distress inks and I added some funky Spackle stuff on the waves so it looked like foam.

Recently, after creating this card, my family took a ferry ride across the water.  The sun was out and it was lovely.

I hope you enjoyed this post and will join us for this month's challenge!  You are also welcome to come and visit me over at my blog. :)

Hi it's Lenae here from SugarGem with a little snowy inspiration for you.
I SO love this cute sentiment. I cannot wait for it to snow this year. I really don't mind being snowed in at home for a couple days. Especially since I get to get some crafty time when it snows.

Warm Beaver Wishes

Toni here with a cute beaver scene for you today.  Look at that little guy!

I used the Concord & 9th Take a Bough Dies, 3 of each size diecut, colored with various brown Copics, to create the dam. The cardstock I used was just scrap in a weird orange color which proved to be the perfect base color for the browns. I cut out the Gina Marie Designs X-stitched Rectangle in woodgrain to act as the base for my dam and sentiment. I laid out a couple of the large boughs on the bottom then began layering upwards using Ranger Multi Medium Matte, snipping the boughs apart as necessary.

I used mystery plaid in the background in subtle green and bright red then tied it all together with that ombre-red sentiment diecut (Savvy stamps) and Lawn Fawn Hemp Cord - Peppermint.  So cute!

Be sure to stop by The Heart Desires Challenge #6 and join in the fun.  What a great inspiration pic!

Background Versatility

I used the same MFT Pure Innocence stamp on these fun Autumnal cards--one with a sponged background and simpler appearance, and the other with a designer paper and diecut panel background.  Do you have a favorite?  I'd love to hear about it in the comments!  Stop on by my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, as well if you like.
