Beary Warm Autumn Greetings

Have you seen the new Lawn Fawn release for the holidays? Omg, sooooooo cute! Toni here with you today to share with you how I used the Beary Happy Holidays set to create a fall card.

First I created the background by blending Distress Oxides and a touch of Distress Ink Tumbled Glass from dark blue to yellowy green. Next I cut the Gina Maria Tree Frame Die from Lawn Fawn Knock on Wood 6x6 Paper, adhering to the base with Ranger Multi Medium Matte. Now the fun part! I colored the Lawn Fawn Beary Happy Holidays bears and the fire from MFT Toasty Greetings using Copics. I used an Exacto knife to cut around the large bear's arm so he could hold the branch. To finish the scene I sponged leaves from Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop die using Distress Inks and adhered them to the trees.  On the inside of the card, I stamped a few leaves and sentiment from Lawn Fawn Jump for Joy.

A reminder too that our next challenge starts this Wednesday so be ready to get your scare on!

Fruity Colorful Fun

Oh, happy fall day!  Toni here with you sharing a super fun and fruitilicious card with lots of Waffle Flower and Lawn Fawn.

I started out with a smooshed panel using Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon, Mowed Lawn, and Tumbled Glass.  I cut it out using Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop Portrait.  The grass is also cut from the smooshed panel (the not as pretty part but perfect for the LF Simple Grassy Hillsides die). I mounted this on a LF Stitched Cloud Portrait die base that I stenciled over with Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade and one of the new Carta Bella Magical Plaid stencils. Once the background was set, including adding the LF Picket Fence at the last minute, I added in the Waffle Flower Fruity Thank You images then finished the card off with a sentiment from Jump for Joy stamped onto an Everyday Sentiment Banner die.

I hope you enjoy your day as much as she is!

Let's Flamingle

Toni here with you today with a fun invitation card inspired by the current THD Challenge 15! I adore the colors--absolutely ADORE--and the fun party elements.

I created the background panel by sponging Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry over it.  I overlapped the sections for smooth color transitioning.  Next I flicked the panel with water.  Once dry, I stamped the SugarPea Designs Let's Flamingle pineapple in a random pattern with Tsukineko Delicata Golden Glitz Ink. I could look at this panel all day!

Next I stamped SugarPea Designs Let's Flamingle flamingos with Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio and Versafine Onyx Black; I cut the lot out with my Scan n Cut 2. I added the fun American Crafts Sunny designer paper border to the now-dry background panel. Love those cute treats! Finally I stamped the sentiment and water rings with  and tacked down the flamingos with Scor-Tape and Ranger Multi-Medium Matte.

Now time to arrange the party! LOL

Dreaming of a Tropical Birthday

Toni here with you today, celebrating my birthday with a bright and colorful tropical card.  Could it be a sneak of a certain challenge that starts this coming Wednesday? Maybe. LOL.

I started out with a sunset hued panel that I worked up using Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, and Wilted Violet on Ranger Watercolor Paper. I then stenciled Carta Bella Crab Crawl using Distress Blueprint Sketch. It's interesting how different the blue looks depending on the color beneath it, right? I then spattered the lot with water using my go-to Zig H2O Detail Watercolor Brush

Setting that aside to dry, I next sponged the Hero Arts Waves Stencil using Distress Oxide Broken China. The pigment blend shows up beautifully on that dark cardstock. I cut a narrow band of Kraft Cardstock, lightly sponged with Distress Ink Vintage Photo, to use as sand.

Next I diecut the HA Palm Tree from my watercolor crab panel, fluffed up the leaves a bit then glued it down onto the main panel. Some blingy Mark Richards 5mm and 3mm Gold Dots and a fun YNS sentiment diecut finishes off my card.
