Toni here with you today. One of my favorite movies of all time is Jaws so I had to "snap up" this set as soon as I saw it in the store. This humor is so right up my alley! Not that being eaten or bitten by a shark is humorous but, taken out of context, even this very serious quote from Quint (the doomed captain of the boat in the movie) has a funny side:
"Y'know the thing about a shark, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'... until he bites ya."Sick humor, I know. But it did give me the inspiration for this card! I used the Concord & 9th Happy Hues Start Card Set as the ocean backdrop. The cards are a full A2 card base so I cut it in half and have another piece for a future card. Nifty and thrifty!
Next I diecut the Hero Arts Paper Layering Shark Die and colored him and his victim using Copics. He's at a jaunty angle thanks to a Lawn Fawn Ocean Wave Accents die. I used a Zig H2O Detail Watercolor Brush to spatter Distress Ink Candied Apple on the card front before mounting it on the base. The Hero Arts Killer Messages sentiment is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black and his doll eyes coated in Ranger Glossy Accents.
See you next time! Or will I? LOL!
This is soooo fun!
