Special Guest Dana Kirby

Hi THD fans!  Today we have another amazing guest designer joining us on the blog.  Ms. Dana Kirby!  She was the winner of Challenge 15! and she has some holiday inspiration to share.

This first card features Lawn Fawn's Pumpkin Spice Latte set as well as some Echo Park holiday paper.  It is so fun, in love with the colors and layout. The scalloped edge is so sweet. 

She also created this fun card and gift card holder!  The embossing folder is Echo Park and the stamp set is Lawn Fawn Love you a Latte.  The black is just so bold for a holiday set but it works so well!  Perfectly cute Dana and thank you for joining us with these amazing creations!

Honored Guest!

Hello friends!  Katie here and I have an exciting card to share with you today.  This card is made by our Honored Guest Michele Ferguson from I Card Everyone!

Michele is the sweetest of people and an amazing designer!  I mean look at this, the texture, the color, oh-la-la!!!!  We are lucky to have her come an join us for almost every single THD challenge! She's won a time or two as well! :)  Now, admittedly, I had an error and didn't get her card up when the challenge went live.  I only hope this dear and lovely lady can forgive me!

Surprise Guest Designer

Jen Shears, one of our fabulous design team members, has an equally fabulous and crafty daughter who is guest designing with us today. Hadley is 11 and has been stamping for 6-7 years. She loves all kinds of creativity from Breyer Horse photo shoots to fairy gardens, and, of course, paper, ink & ribbon! And, she's a sweet girl to boot!

Taking inspiration from the current challenge, Hadley has stretched the use of the Lawn Fawn Winter Unicorn & Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Nested Rectangle Dies. Aren't her cards adorable?!

November Guest Designer, Take 2

Yikes, I'm just squeaking in before the end of the current challenge (ends tomorrow!!!) with this fantastic card by Linda Snodgrass, our guest designer for the past two months.  I love her card, don't you?  So cheery and homey.  Linda framed the Avery Elle Pinecones stamp set with some yummy red plaid and added a decorate border at the bottom using Avery Elle Dotted Borders die.  Seriously love!

November Guest Designer

Linda Snodgrass, is staying on and guest designing with us for the month of November too--yay! She was inspired by the current THD Challenge 6, using a creatures and some of the colors.

Check out this cute cute Wild Rose Mummy Fox and Baby she colored up.  They definitely look warm and cozy all snuggled up together.  I like that she incorporated woodgrain as well.  Lots of fun details in her card!

October Guest Designer, Take 2

Our current guest designer, Linda, has a big ol' stack of pumpkins to share today.  She's used the Avery Elle Dotted Borders die and Eyelet Outlet Glitter Gold Enamel Dots to great effect!

I particularly like the sprigs of greenery drawing attention to the sentiment.  Wonderful!

We are so excited that another local PNW gal, Linda Snodgrass of Lin's Craft Corner, is guest designing with us for October and November.  Welcome, Lin!

It's been fabulous to have Jen Shears guest designing with us and even more fabulous that she will be joining the challenge DT starting in October.  Yay!  We got to meet her in person last weekend since she's a local gal.  Lots of laughter and good company that day.

September Guest Designer - Jen Shears

Hi!  Jen Shears here.  I was so excited I *might* have picked up some new goodies from The Heart Desires store!!

I've used Strathmore watercolor paper with dark brown Brusho crystals for my base. This was my first time using Brusho crystals and it is quite an adventure!

Once that was dry I pulled out the new  Concord & 9th's Give Thanks set and stamped the sentiment in vintage sepia VersaFine ink using my Misti; I added versamark and clear embossing powder over the top so that I could stamp the wheat in Delicata Golden Glitz over the top. The veins are stamped in the same versafine brown. 

Using the Concord & 9th Layering Leaves Dies I cut the wheat and rubbed them with more of the gold ink before attaching to the watercolor panel. 

A few spatters of water topped with gold embossing powder finishes this fun fall card off!

Go, 'Hawks!

Our fantastic guest designer from last month, Novell, made an extra card for us.   Woo hoo!   How fun is this!   Novell is a huge football fan so I am not surprised she included Seahawks colors in such a clever way when she used the Hero Arts Greetings from Seattle set.   Brilliant, girl!

And congrats to the Seahawks for starting the season out right yesterday!

Our guest designer, Novell Eckstrom, really rocks the masculine cards.  Check out these two perfectly boy cards she created using the Lawn Fawn Dad + Me set.  So cute and punny!

To be honest, I passed on this set because, you know, boys are eww and I struggle with masculine cards but Novell has convinced me it's a must-have for my collection.  Thanks for enabling me, Novell!  LOL.

We've so enjoyed having Novell as our guest designer for this month!  Thank you, girl!

August Guest Designer - Novell Eckstrom

Novell Eckstrom is our guest designer for August.  Novell is one of our local crafting buddies who doesn't have a blog. GASP.  I know!  She totally should so she can share her amazing work with everyone!
