Snail Mail RULES!

Kimberly with you today with some FUN mini card and envelope decorating.

I had to ink up the Waffle Flower Snail Mail Stamp Set and paired the cuteness with the American Crafts 3x3 Mini Card and Envelope Set in ombre lime green.  Stamping in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloring with copics after hand cutting the images, they sure are sweet on the mini card. Decorating an envelope adds a sweet touch when you send your mini card!

My colors are based on the Challenge #17 FUN images and ghoulish colors.

WAFFLE FLOWER SNAIL MAIL

Kimberly with you today, hopefully enticing you to join our challenge with this simple fall inspired card!

I thought it would be pretty neat to stamp swipes of color behind a gold embossed vellum leaf. I started stamping with the largest "swoosh" image from the Flora and Fauna Textures Clear Stamp Set on separate piece of cardstock.  I selected some bright hybrid Hero Arts Ink colors: Lemon Yellow (Shadow ink) Green Apple, Tangerine, Strawberry, and Caramel. The base card is Key Lime from Memory Box.  On clear vellum, I gold embossed the Concord and 9th Leaf from the Lace Leaf Clear Stamp Set in Ranger Gold Embossing powder. The grateful die is from the Concord and 9th Grateful Leaf Die Set.

I based my coloring on the current Challenge #16 amazing images and vibrant colors. I sure hope that you are as excited as we are about the AMAZING inspiration challenge boards that The Heart Desires has, the MORE than amazing DT creations.

Happy Birthday Sunshine!

Kimberly with you today, wanting you to join our challenge!!  I hope you are as EXCITED as I am over this challenge board.  Eeeeek.. It is a Sweeet Combo!

I knew the sweet images in the delightful challenge colors using watercolor would really "pop" off a white background, so I used Neenah paper for the card base, and stamped the Neat & Tangled Beach Day characters in Versafine Black Onyx on Strathmore Bristol Vellum Paper, as well as using the Gina Marie Cross Stitch Circle Dies for my "pocket."

 I just LOVE these Neat & Tangled images!!! 

I colored the images with Koi watercolor brush markers and a Zig Detail Water Brush for blending. I trimmed the circle die cut to a pocket shape, added the sentiments, and topped with a scrap of Pollen Bazill Basics Paper, as well as a square of ombre pink paper from the Jen Hadfield Everyday 6x6 pad.  For additional texture and detail, I die cut the borders of the papers with a rectangle stitch die. The images were adhered with foam mount tape.  The card base was embossed with the WeR Memory Keepers Next Level Dotted Folder, I added the pocket and images, swiped the suits and watermelon with a little Wink of Stella Clear, added some white gel pen accents, a little Pretty Pink Poshconfetti sequin "bling," [That I love so very much!]  I was done! 

I based my coloring on the current Challenge #15 amazing images and vibrant colors. I started out with a flat one layer card base and stamped the Neat & Tangled Flamingo Floatie image.  [ I just LOVE these FUN images, don't you?!! ]  I stamped another image on separate piece of cardstock, cut it out and used it to mask as I sponged Ranger Distress Ink Tumbled Glass, and Mermaid Lagoon for the sky and water background.  I Copic colored the image, added the sentiment, also embossing a portion of the sentiment with Hero Arts White Embossing powder on black cardstock with added foam mount tape. some touches with a Signo White Gel Pen, and a little confetti sequin "bling," I was done! 

I based my coloring on the current Challenge #14 amazing images and vibrant colors. Hi everyone!  Kimberly Wiener here with a quick pop in!! 

Thanks for all the love and support you all have been showing the last week or so about my mom.  My mom lives with us, so she is so very close to us all, and it really touched her heart to see the out pour of love and well wishes!

This is the BEST Wedding cake stamp EVER... I hope that you are enjoying the start of FALL and will be keeping yourself cozy, warm, and inspired!

I Spy . . .

How exciting!  Two of our DT members (including me--tee hee!) were recently spotlighted in the fab CAS Mix Up card challenge.  If you're unfamiliar with that one, it's a challenge for CAS mixed media cards with a very cool definition of mixed media.  Go check it out.

The Heart Desires Challenge 2 - More Inspiration!

Kimberly Wiener here.  If you are not familiar with The Heart Desires, we are a handful of crafty friends in the PNW (Pacific Northwest of Washington State) that get together that share our passion and love of cardmaking with you.  We have favorites and essential crafty tools and supplies that we cannot live without, and we also have some personal faves too.

Elements:  Colors, Tropical, Sketch

1. Challenges will run from the first Wednesday to the last Wednesday of each month.
2. Use one, two or three of the identified elements.
3. If you choose to use colors, you need only use 2 or 3 of them.  Use your choice of neutrals (white, kraft, black, gray).
4. Identify the elements you chose to use if not readily evident.
5. Enter up to 3 times and combine with no more than 5 challenges, including ours.
6. Include the inspiration pic as well as a link to the challenge in your post.
7. The challenge winner will be invited to be a future guest designer.

You don't have to shop or use supplies from The Heart Desires to join us in the challenges, though I will say that each of us have selected some of the supplies to have added to the shop that we really love and hopefully with help others get crafty too!  So we do hope that you will take a peek around!

Hello!  Kimberly Wiener here, excited to bring you our "Mad for Plaid" for the Month of May!  Our team is totally inspired by all of the trendy creations that are popping up all over.  Me, well I love watercolor over white embossing, and adding BLING - ESPECIALLY Pretty Pink Posh in Sparkling Clear, like diamonds darling, like diamonds!  Each plaid paper in the Lawn Fawn pack is so brilliant in color, and I am already starting another project!  I hope you are inspired as well to create in MAD PLAID!
