Hope your birthday is a SMASH!

Have you checked out all of the new Lawn Fawn that is in the shop?!  I decided to play with some of the new goodies for my post today.

Isn't the Year Seven set with the Pinata so fun?!  I teamed it up with the new Perfectly Plaid - Rainbow 6x6 pad.  The Leafy Tree Backdrop:  Portrait Die was a fun addition to my scenery.   That particular die is out of stock but will be replenished in about a week or so!

Surprise Guest Designer

Jen Shears, one of our fabulous design team members, has an equally fabulous and crafty daughter who is guest designing with us today. Hadley is 11 and has been stamping for 6-7 years. She loves all kinds of creativity from Breyer Horse photo shoots to fairy gardens, and, of course, paper, ink & ribbon! And, she's a sweet girl to boot!

Taking inspiration from the current challenge, Hadley has stretched the use of the Lawn Fawn Winter Unicorn & Gina Marie Scalloped Stitched Nested Rectangle Dies. Aren't her cards adorable?!
Please leave her some comment love!

A-Moos-ing

Howdy THD Fans.  Katie here.  If you are like me, Monday's may not be your favorite day, but hopefully this creation will lift your spirits a little, because it is A-Moose-ing.... (bu-dum-bum!)

OK, I had a TON of fun making this card.  Scenes are my favorite for some reason.  Here is the scoop on how.  I started with the Gina Marie Starry Sky Background die and made the cut with some turquoise paper.  After I cut it I took my Ranger Distress Inks, Mermaid Lagoon and Stormy Sky to darken up the top edges.  After that I backed it with some yellow cardstock, so you can really see the stars shine through.  Next, I layered in some grass using the Lawn Fawn grass die and green cardstock.  I popped it out with some dimensionals.  After that I stamped bits and pieces of the  Lawn Fawn Dad & Me set onto White cardstock.  I used some Momento Black (sentiment and moose), Olive (SU!) and Neon Blue (Hero Arts) for the pool of water, I even came back in and stamped some star reflections on that pool of water.  I colored my moose with Copics and then cut a slit in the middle of my pool so my moose could be nestling right into that water.  Wah-lah, done!  And wouldn't you know, dusk is just when this cute critter would be feeding! :)

So that's all today.  Thank you for stopping by to visit me here and be sure to join us in this month's challenge.

Watercolor Hugs

Toni with you today with a card I'm really excited about. Not only do I love the Neat & Tangled Better Together girlie girl (just look at that poxie owl!), but I love the watercolor shaker. So fun. I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals as watercolor but you could easily use Brushos instead.

For the owl, I wanted to add mottling to the breast like most owls would have but didn't want to fuss with lots of color layering and such. I just used dots of Copics in browns and a white pigment pen to achieve a similar effect. Look at those freckled cheeks! Very huggable.

You'll notice, I hope, I drew from the colors, patterns, block letters and stuff animals from the current challenge pic.
