Halloween Mermaid for Fun

Hi, everyone!  Toni here with a super fun way to stretch your stamps.  I've used the decidedly not spooky Lawn Fawn Mermaid for You set to create a Halloween card.  How fun!  Mermaid witch! Trident broom! Fish bats!  Coral trees!  A haunted fish aquarium house that lights up!  Squeee!

Now, I've found the Ranger round ink applicators are a must for this type of background.  I've tried using the brush-style applicators for this level of saturation and could not replicate the smooth transition and depth of color. Consideration in using Chibi lights is also a must.  Now that I've done it a couple of times, it's old hat.

You can see additional pics as well as a behind the scenes tutorial of the inner workings of the card by visiting my site, Frankie Helps Craft.  Happy Halloween!

  1. Oh my gosh, Toni! Clever you in transforming the mermaid into a Halloween witch who is decidedly *not* spooky, but wonderfully adorable! That sky...love it! Creativity to the max...again!
